Finsbury Personal Organiser (A5)

LOVE IT!!

I got my A5 Raspberry Finsbury a few months ago and I just adore it! I have waited to write a review as I wanted to make sure that it was as good as I initially thought - and it certainly is! I was gutted when I came to order it as I had wanted the a5 in yellow but this had sold out. Raspberry was only my second choice - but it has not disappointed me, the colour is awesome! Other reviewers have commented that it does not lie flat - after a few weeks use, it will do. It is quite bulky and a bit bigger than standard a5 sized paper so it's not one for carrying around - mine lives on my desk at work. It is great for keeping all of my loose bits of paper together at the end of the day. My only gripe is the diary that came with it - a columnar week to view. The columns are too narrow for work use, I much prefer a horizontal week to view. Sadly I could not find a filofax diary in this preferred format so had to get another brand. I also couldn't seem to find a day to a page refill - have these been discontinued? The quality of the paper was also quite appalling - I could only use a biro and even then only if I pressed very gently. Having had a rant about the diary however, I can't mark this organiser down just for that. It's classy, strong and smells great! If you overlook the diary that comes with it, you will love it...

It doesn't lay flat

The Finsbury in pink is gorgeous, however, it doesn't lay flat when it is opened, which makes it bit difficult to write on it.

I couldn't wait for my new Pink Finsbury filofax to arrive. But how disappointed was I to find that I was sent a damaged product!! The metal rings do not fit together and therefore the inserts fall out. Is there no quality control at Filofax? Who would allow such a product to be posted out to a customer? Now I have the hassle of returning the filofax and waiting up to a week for a replacement. Not happy and not impressed!

Fabulous Product

I absolutely love my new Finsbury. It seems really well made and the Pink colour is fabulous! The diary paper feels like really good quality paper, and I like the slightly cream colour. I really wish you could choose which diary it came with, especially as they are all very similar prices. That would be a really nice touch, instead I have got a week on two pages diary I won't use. The tabs are fantastic, and you can completely customise your own filofax to suit whatever you want, and whoever you are. It's nice to be able to swop things around, and the round clips which hold the paper in seem very strong and sturdy. The only thing was that when it arrived it had a few small black marks on the front of the filofax, which was a little disappointing when you are paying for a premium product. Other than that, I like it very much, and would definately recommend this filofax to anyone who wants to get organised. It's brilliant!

A little disappointed

The Finsbury is lovely, great colour and just what I was looking for. There is a but, having bought online to use immediately I was disappointed to find that the diary does not start until July 2013 and thus renders this aspect of the Filofax useless. Do I really have to spend the extra £10.50 to get a week to view with notes refill that will allow me to use my super new organiser now? Other than this little thing I thoroughly recommend it.
