Silky Smooth Soft Leather

This "Filofax Personal Organiser" really is an Enigma. Let me explain. From the pictures on the web the leather appears it might be rather rough or scratchy or coarse in texture however it is the softest and silkiest leather I have ever felt which was the deciding factor of purchasing it. I bought the Brindle colour which to me looks like ‘cookies n cream’ or a frothy mocha chocolate cafe latte, just delicious. It is very tactile and incredibly strokeable, hard to put down in fact. The contrasting dark chocolate brown interior is a beautiful background for the cotton cream inserts. I personally prefer the back gusseted popper pocket that the Enigma has because it opens wide making it much easier to see the contents than that of the usual zipped back pocket. My only criticism and it is a minor one, I would have preferred the back pocket to have been reversed so that the opening was towards the outer edge instead of near the rings. A must for Filofax fanatics is the fact that the Enigma lays flat out of the box, and is also reasonably bendable, not squishy like the Malden but probably closer to the Finchley in pliability. The attention to detail which is not shown on the web site needs to be mentioned and that is at the end of the tab closure there is a little silver T-bar which has an “f” logo engraved on the ends, a bit like a cufflink, beautiful. Overall I think this is a stylish and elegant Filofax and if I could afford the pocket sized one I would buy that too for my smaller handbags. I would definitely recommend the Enigma, it very quickly became a favourite.
