Of all the filofax models in your range, this must be an absolute LOW! I am deeply puzzled by the previous positive reviews. Clearly, those owners are new in Filofax land and have never even touched a decent planner?! The Apex lacks all sense of beauty or practicality. It sports only one single cardslot. Maybe for a busfar ticket or a Student ID card? Only downside: no student would want to be seen with an Apex binder? The elastic closure is terribly fussy. What's the use of a binder, if you need both hands to fasten it shut again?
Having received this as a Filofax contest "price", I tried to gift it to my 10 year old daughter to get rid of it, but she pulled away in horror. That's how cheap and plasticky it feels and looks.
If you are looking for a cheap entry level Filofax, that still has style and usefulness, try out the Domino, Songbird or Metropol.
Unless you like to dress in shiny lycra leggings and maze t-shirts, you should stay away from the Apex. Seriously!

A few weeks ago I was one of the lucky winners of the Filofax competition "Filofax memories". The prize was a personal Apex. Here are my thoughts and review on it.
Now I am a BIG fan of Filofax, but really think this is a big fail on their part. The apex I received was the pink one.
Filofax describe the Apex as "Crosshatch textured synthetic pu exterior. Matt finish synthetic pu interior."
Ok. I would describe it as cheap looking plastic. In fact, apart from the pink colour, I can't think of anything positive to say about it. I don't like the way the elasticated strap goes around it and I don't like the feel of it.
Anyway. On with the review.
When you open the apex you are greeted with one card pocket and a larger pocket.
It comes with July 2011 through to December 2012 diary. This is week on two pages.
It comes with pastel coloured A-Z tabs
And pastel coloured 1-6 tabs.

Coloured ruled paper

To do
At the back there is a frosted ruler and a top opening envelope.
On the inside back cover there is one pocket in which you can put a Filofax notepad (not included).
There seems to be a lack of pockets on this Filofax. It is very gimmicky and I assume it is aimed at young students. I have a 12 year old daughter, and this will not be her first Filofax. Or any Filofax thinking about it.
So there you have it. The Apex. Hope you enjoyed reading.
*Coming soon*
The Filofax personal Domino.
And what did I buy from the Neal street Filofax shop????
Come back soon!!!!

I'm delighted with this! For years I used a Filofax and then I started dabbling with traditional diaries. But now I'm back with FF. This is the perfect size for handbag or desk. Love the bright colours as it'll be easy to see in my black hole of a handbag. As always, great design and I'll play with this for hours. Seriously though, this is perfect for all the note-taking/reminders that have just cropped up for me. Loving this! Thanx!

Received this last night and I haven't stopped playing with it yet! The only downfall is you don't receive enough address pages with it (only one per tab of three letters) so I have to order some more today before I can fill anything in. Otherwise a great little product.
