Osterley Personal Organiser (A5)

Firstly, the item itself. I ordered the Grey, and I have to say it is a lot darker than in the photograph, and I do prefer the colour of the photograph. Due to the nature of the material it only looks like the photo in strong light, but when in a normal room it looks off-black. It is still very pretty, and you do get a good range of inserts included. As others have said, I would have preferred to have been able to pick the diary insert, since the columns aren't for everyone and new diary inserts are so expensive. Main Pros are that it is a beautiful item, and filofaxs in general are so useful and easy to use, making it a pleasure to organise your life. Main cons are that when it arrived it was not perfect; there are a few nicks and scrapes (maybe from being handled out of the box by someone with long nails), the inside care-card was folded, and the bottom of the back notepad was crumpled due to the penholder's position. Customer service- I ordered this on a Thursday night, and despite it going by the quicker courier option (the mode of delivery is not revealed to you unless you call and ask, and you're only told at check out that "higher value" orders are courier, with no actual limits described, and no option to opt for quicker posting for extra cost) it didn't arrive until the following Wednesday. I was initially told to expect it on Tuesday and therefore made myself available, to then be told the Wednesday, which was frustrating. I was also told that the item was packaged on the Saturday- not sure how they spent the Friday. Despite this everyone I spoke to on the phone was helpful and pleasant. Overall I do like the item, I don't regret buying it, but there is a lot of room for improvement by Filofax UK in terms of quality control of items and handling of orders, and is hopefully something they are seeking to get on top of in order to carry out to the standard you would expect when paying such a high price.

This is my first Filofax and before I bought it I read a lot of reviews to help me decide so I thought I would write one of my own. I have an A5 Osterley in plum and I love it. Once I had decided what I wanted unfortunately, it wasn't available online so I e-mailed customer services. Tracy Gaston was amazing, she responded promptly and gave me all the information I needed. She gave me a couple of options on how to order and as she had promised the Filofax was added to the website. I wanted to be sure I could get what I wanted so I ordered over the phone and everyone I spoke to was helpful. Customer service is done very well by Filofax. The leather on the Osterly is strong, but also soft to the touch and it lies flat straight out of the box. I had to buy a different diary insert as the columns don't work for me. It would be great if you could personalise the inserts when you order. The pen loops are elasticated and hold my pens well and the clasp is strong. I ordered the A5 size so that I have more room as I use this for both work and personal. I will have to buy a bigger handbag, but it's worth it. The rings are large enough to hold all the information I wish to carry and there's room for me to add more. One the rings doesn't fasten as snugly as I think it should so I hope it doesn't cause any snagging on my pages. Overall, I love it and I hope it will last me a long time.

i bought the a5 plum osterley a week ago. i have always been in-between an a5 and personal but when i went to the store in conduit street london, i fell in love with this. its a delight to look at and feels awesome to hold. i bought it without the contents as i have a5 inserts etc but was happy to pay for the binder given is steep price as it just oozes class, elegance and beauty. i can't say enough about it. it makes any dull desk look beautiful. i carry it in my handbag and its not as heavy as the classic that i also have in a5. its comfortable to carry around. love it love it love it, never seen a better filofax that this xxx

I received my lovely Osterley today.It is the perfect size. The colour of the leather is beautiful, it is just so soft and opulent. What a disappointment that the selection of refills is limited to just white for addresses, etc. Why don't you do any Cotton Cream Paper to fit the A4 Organizer? Surely a classy organizer such as the Osterley deserves some classy paper and accessories.

This is a gorgeous filofax which oozes class! And while I still love my other Filofaxes, they are just not in the same league as this one. I love everything about the Osterley - the colours are not too gaudy or too dull, the fastening is pretty and the leather is beautiful to touch.
