The Aston is lovely to look at and I was very pleased to receive it. Unfortunately the contents were not as described on the website. The diary pages were plain white, not cotton cream, the ruler was the regular black one not the brown one described. The tabs had no labels on them. I'm disappointed that at this price I didn't receive what I was expecting. Having spoken to the team, I was told to return the item if I didn't like it. When I said that I liked the item but wanted it to be as described, we discovered that I can in fact order the right contents (eg. brown ruler) and return the items I wasn't happy with. I'm not sure I will bother, especially as there was no apology and I was made to feel like I was being demanding. I suggest the website is updated with the correct information for the diary contents.

 Says: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are working to get this changed on the website asap.

This diary is just wonderful! The leather was a lot softer than I expected, yet is surprisingly tough and durable - no marks so far! The credit card slots are a bit of a squeeze initially, but stretch to accommodate the cards. I find this useful as it ensures nothing falls out. The strap binding it shut with the popper is quite long, which means you can cram the Filofax with even more inserts! The pen holder is elasticated, so you needn't worry about stretching the leather when using a bigger pen. The back lies flat straight away, thanks to the supple leather. I honestly cannot fault this product. The Personal is just the perfect size and weight, and looks timeless (I bought the Chocolate). Bravo, Filofax!

Fine organiser

I'm pleasantly surprised at the softness of the leather and the covers themselves: finally an organiser that won't close itself when you attempt to write in it. The leather seams on the front cover and the way the filofax logo is applied make it look quite elegant. The zipped pocket at the back should turn out handy. Only the pen loop is too small for "normal" pens but this is common to all filofax organisers. All in all I truly appreciate my birthday present.

Hi, this was purchased a few weeks ago and replaced one I had had for a while. My previous one was black and this one is dusky pink and I love it, cream inserts look great and the brown page mark just makes it look brilliant. Hoping this is going to stay looking great for many years. Thought it a little expensive although at the time there was 20% off, hence the purchase. Overall I just think it's stunning. As much as diaries on phones and computers etc are great, I still prefer to use a filofax. Overall fantastic.

Nice organiser

My initial impression of this organiser was that it was a little underwhelming. It didn't come in one of the posh Filofax boxes, but rather the slip-in one like the Finsbury does. I guess that sort of took the wow-factor away from this Filofax which belongs to the more expensive range. The corners were darkened/dirty, not exactly sure why. I cleaned this up a day later, and it looks much better now. My initial impression was that it was also quite monotone. One type of leather, one color throughout. I would have given it 3 stars. WHY DID I GIVE IT 4 STARS? After a few days of usage, it has proven itself. It's beautifully soft, and isn't that sensitive to knocks. I bought it to stand in for my Deco when travelling (to spare the Deco the hassle), and it will be perfect for that. It's the kind of Filofax that won't blow you away like the Deco does the first time you see it, but will endear itself to you with usage. Much like that old friend you fail to appreciate until you realize one day how important he/she is.
