Ring Mechanisms

The diameter of the ring mechanism inside a Filofax organiser varies depending on the size and style of the organiser. Smaller organisers such as mini and pocket will tend to carry a smaller ring mechanism, holding less pages while larger organisers such as A5 and A4 will have a larger ring size which will hold a greater number of pages.

The number of rings in the organiser changes per size as follows:

Mini - contains 5-hole ring mechanism.
Pocket - contains 6-hole ring mechanism.
Personal - contains 6-hole ring mechanism.
Slimline - contains 6-hole ring mechanism.
Compact - contains 6-hole ring mechanism.
A5 - contains 6-hole ring mechanism
A4 - contains 4-hole ring mechanism

Some organisers come in a zip-around format that allows you to carry loose objects such as a mobile phone inside your organiser, and adds an extra level of security.
